Image Gallery: Adirondack Park Panoramas
The relatively low, wide mountains and numerous lakes makes the Adirondack region ideal for producing panoramic photographs. I am always looking for compositions which lend themselves to interpretation by this method. There must be reasonble beginning and ending points for the photograph, and, of course, fine light must be present to justify making the exposures. I try to push the envelope of the composite panorama technique by making a series of overlapping photographs in quick succession during rapidly changing lighting conditions. When everything comes together, the result is a dynamic image that is non-repeatable. These are the fleeting moments that I try to capture and which give me the greatest satisfaction.
